POLICE discovered hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of cannabis yesterday in a city drugs raid.
Officers from south Liverpool's tactical team entered a property in Queen’s Drive, Mossley Hill, at around 9am where they discovered 275 cannabis plants worth approximately £223,000.
Merseyside Police described the first floor of the house as a “large sophisticated cannabis factory” and confirmed that a 44-year-oldman who was in the property at the time was arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis.
Liverpool South Neighbourhood Inspector Andy Wignall said: “This is a substantial discovery which was made by working together with the local community. We treat all drug production, cultivation and supply very seriously.
“Please contact your local neighbourhood team via 0151 709 6010. We act on all the information we are given.”
