Britain’s Got Talent judge wants Liverpool comic to emerge during show
BRITAIN’S Got Talent judge Amanda Holden said she wants a Liverpool comedian to emerge when the show returns.
Open auditions are being held at the Echo Arena on Sunday.
Holden said: “Liverpool always thinks it’s hilarious and they are.
“Most Scousers are funny.
“We’ve never had a decent comic on the show. I’d really like to see somebody who can make us laugh.”
Amanda, who used to be married to Liverpool funnyman Les Dennis, added: “A Liverpool comic – let’s get one of them.”
Amanda was in Liverpool to launch the link-up between Jackson & Canter, the city’s biggest legal aid law firm, and new legal network QualitySolicitors.
She signed autographs for dozens of fans at the firm’s Church Street offices.
The actress is also the voice behind a new TV advert for QualitySolicitors.
The network is expanding across the country and only accepts firms that get recommended by their clients.
Everton fan Holden added: “Anything that’s recommended by the public is great.”
