A SECTION of Liverpool will become a mini Lapland when the Hope Street Christmas Fayre opens its doors.
The one-day festival will feature an open-air food market with produce from up-market restaurants The London Carriageworks, 60 Hope Street and The Quarter, as well as an indoor arts and craft market.
Hope St Harmonies, Liverpool Community Choir and signing choir Singing Hands will perform carols, while X Factor’s Estrella will switch on the lights.
There will also be performances from the Unity and Everyman’s Christmas shows, guided trips on horse and cart, and donkey rides for children. Jo McGrath, enterprise director at Blackburne House, part of the Hope Street Group, said: “Hope Street really is a unique part of the city with some of the best eateries, performance spaces, cultural destinations and education institutions being located on, or nearby the street.
“It is vital that we showcase these organisations, especially at a time like Christmas so visitors can choose to spend an afternoon, an evening or a full day exploring everything that this area has to offer.”
The Hope Street Christmas Fayre takes place on Sunday, December 5.
