Charity CALM enter Santa Dash with mobile disco

CITY Santa Dash runners will have disco music to motivate them around the course.

Volunteers from charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (Calm) will be pushing a supermarket trolley with a sound system along the 5km race on Sunday.

This year, Santa Dash organisers are hoping to break the world record for the most Santas in a single event, and raise as much money as possible for its official children’s charity, Liverpool Unites.

Members of Calm, which supports men in Merseyside, teamed up with Juice FM to bolster the world record attempt with some lively music.

Simon Howes, development coordinator for Calm, said:

“The Santa Dash is one of the most entertaining fun runs in the country, and one which people from all over the region look forward to taking part in.

“We wanted to take part ourselves and offer something for the crowds to enjoy while they rave, rock and body-pop around the course as well as bring the world record home.”

To pay your £20 entry fee and collect your Santa suit, you need to visit JJB Sports, in Williamson Square, today.
