HILLSBOROUGH actor Christopher Eccleston answered questions in Liverpool last night after a one-off film screening.
The former Dr Who star nominated the landmark Jimmy McGovern drama about the disaster to be shown at Fact and spent 30 minutes afterwards discussing the film with fans.
The special screening raised money for Liverpool charity the Clapperboard Youth Project.
The drama, which Eccleston cites as his most important work, is credited with changing public attitudes outside Liverpool towards the tragedy.
The actor said: “I’m proud to be introducing the screening of Hillsborough in support of the Clapperboard Project.”
The Liverpool-based charity works with people aged from 12 to 19 to help bring creativity into their lives.
Director Maureen Sinclair said: “We are so pleased that Chris has taken the time out of his very busy schedule to support this special Clapperboard screening.”
