FILM fans rushed to snap up one-off Harry Potter Mersey tunnel tour tickets – with the event selling out within hours.
Demand from cinema-goers keen to see the location used to film Deathly Hallows Part One was so high organisers added a second tour.
The extra tour will also take place on Friday, December 10, and give film buffs an insight into the movie’s production. The latest box office smash in the Harry Potter franchise saw the Mersey tunnel double for the Dartford Tunnel.
Neil Scales, of Merseytravel, said: “Unfortunately, times and numbers have to be strictly limited because the roadway will only be closed for a limited time while the tunnel is shut for maintenance, but if we get the opportunity to do this again, at some time in the future, we will do so.”
