A MOTHER and daughter are saddling up on the trip of a lifetime to raise money for charity.
Debbie and Kate Storey will cycle from Ho Chi Minh City, in Vietnam, to Angkor Wat, in Cambodia, in aid of the Alder Hey children’s hospital Imagine appeal.
It’s a challenge of a lifetime for the pair, who’ve been in training for the 350-mile trip through the Mekong Delta.
Grandmother of one Debbie, 54, who manages a healthy living centre in Bootle, told the Daily Post she and Kate, 23, aim to raise £3,500 on the trip.
“I’ve really enjoyed getting fit to take part in this, I’m doing cycling, badminton and spinning and feel fitter than I did when I was 20.
“I’ve also lost two stone, and we’ve been hosting parties to raise the money at our house in West Derby Village,” said Debbie.
