Kim Cattrell in The Exchange
THIS is the picture we couldn’t show you until now – Kim Cattrall relaxing in the Liverpool pub where she became a regular during her stint in Antony and Cleopatra at the Playhouse.
The actress loved the fish and chip dinner at The Exchange, on Old Hall Street, so much she returned for the same again three more times on her Wednesday days-off.
Owners Richy Owen and Steve McKeown wanted her to be allowed to enjoy the pub grub – and her favourite drink, a half of lager shandy – in peace and so only released this picture after she left.
Mr Owen said: “She just acted like a normal punter to be quite honest.
“I think she just wanted to see a normal Liverpool pub.
“She was very articulate and informative on what she did and how she first started off in the business and spent parts of her childhood in Liverpool”.
The Mossley Hill-born A-lister first came to the pub with her mother to meet Mr McKeown and his wife Barbara, a distant cousin of the actress.
The photo is going to be framed and displayed on the wall in “Kim’s Corner”.
