Man cut free from car after Norris Green smash

A MAN was cut free from his car by firefighters after a collision in Liverpool.

The car crashed with a van at the junction of Townsend Avenue and Broad Lane at 11.30am yesterday.

Firefighters and Merseyside Fire and Rescue’s specialist rescue team attended the scene in Norris Green.

One man was cut free by firefighters using hydraulic cutting equipment. A spokeswoman said the man was “not suffering any injuries, just shock”.
