A BLIND man has died after being hit by a car as he crossed a road with his guide dog.
The 74-year-old man was struck by a blue Renault Megane as he stepped into Marsh Lane, in the direction of Main Street, in Frodsham, at about 4.40pm on Monday.
He sustained serious head injuries in the smash and died overnight at Walton hospital. The 51-year-old driver of the Megane, from Runcorn, was not injured in the smash.
