WOMEN in Liverpool can look forward to a fit and healthy 2011, thanks to a huge cash boost.
Nearly £500,000 has been given to projects in the city aimed specifically at getting the fairer sex into the gym. The cash, granted by the National Lottery and allocated by Sport England, is aimed specifically at those from disadvantaged communities and those who care for children. The Women Get Active will be taken to centres in Speke, Belle Vale, Everton, Kirkdale, Anfield, Clubmoor, Norris Green and Dovecot.
