LIVERPOOL’S Lime Pictures is to produce a new version of US reality show Jersey Shore, for MTV.
The Childwall company, producer of Hollyoaks and teen reality show The Only Way Is Essex, confirmed the news yesterday.
Bosses said they had been busy scouring the North-east for suitable candidates for Geordie Shore.
Fiona O’Sullivan, the head of factual at Lime Pictures, said: “We’ve already found some perfect characters to bring Geordie Shore to life.
“We can’t wait to get filming on what we believe will become the next big, must-watch, reality show.”
Inspired by the hit US phenomenon, cameras will follow some of Newcastle’s “finest lads and lasses”. It will offer an insight into their glamorous lives and party lifestyles.
