A COWARDLY thief who snatched an 87-year-old woman’s handbag is being hunted by police.
The man, aged around 20, followed the woman when she got off her bus on Hartsbourne Avenue, Childwall, before stealing her bag and running off towards the site of the old Coronation Pub at around 6pm, on Tuesday night.
Witnesses to the incident are asked to contact Merseyside Police on 0151 777 5394 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
