Employment minister Chris Grayling launches Merseyside Enterprise clubs

EMPLOYMENT Minister Chris Grayling came to Merseyside to launch the very first UK “Enterprise Club” aimed at boosting the number of entrepreneurs.

Mr Grayling was joined by members of the St Helens Chamber of Commerce where the first club will be based.

Five more clubs around the region are to follow.

Mr Grayling said: “With the Enterprise clubs, we are working with the Chambers to make sure there’s a body of experience on hand for things like employment law and finding finance.”

Also unveiled was the New Enterprise Allowance, which will provide finance and mentoring for people out of work for six months who are looking to start up in business.
