Visiting restrictions lifted at Arrowe Park hospital

VISITING restrictions at Arrowe Park hospital on the Wirral have been relaxed after an outbreak of norovirus.

Visitors were banned from the site, along with Clatterbridge Hospital, because of the winter vomiting bug.

But, from yesterday, hospital bosses allowed one visitor per patient per visiting session in areas not affected by norovirus.

A spokeswoman added: “We will need to maintain the additional restrictions in the areas that are affected.”

Clatterbridge Centre for Oncology has not been affected because it is run by a separate Trust.
