University gardens shorlisted for 2011 National Civic Trust Awards

ANGEL Field, the Renaissance garden commissioned by Liverpool Hope University for its Creative Campus in Everton, has been named as a finalist in the 2011 National Civic Trust awards.

The garden, which was designed by Liverpool-based BCA Landscape and formally opened on Midsummer’s Day last year, is one of only 57 projects from an original list of 333 to make it through to the final stage of the awards.

At a ceremony at the People’s History Museum, in Manchester, on March 4, Angel Field will be certain of a prize, which could be an Award, a Commendation or Community Recognition.

Andy Thomson, a partner with BCA Landscape, said: “It’s a great honour and achievement to winŠ recognition from theŠCivic Trust Šfor Angel Field.”
