How the new orders are expected to work

CRIME Prevention Injunctions – to include “both prohibitions on behaviour and requirements to address underlying problems”. A breach would trigger a fine, or imprisonment.

Criminal Behaviour Orders - issued by the courts after conviction, the order would ban an individual from certain activities or places. A breach would incur a maximum five-year prison term.

Community triggers - where local agencies will be compelled to take action.

Community Protection Orders – to stop environmental anti- social behaviour, like graffiti, neighbour noise or dog fouling

Police “direction” powers – the move on an individual likely to cause disorder away from a particular place.
