Fast footwork as Reds’ Thailand fans put their shirts on the new signings

DISAPPOINTED Liverpool fans were quick to get rid of their old Fernando Torres shirts when he was sold with just minutes to go on deadline day last week.

But even the most fed-up Anfield supporter was probably beaten to it by the wily traders at a market in Patong, Thailand.

Liverpool season-ticket holder Mike Konstantynowicz, from Maghull, was on holiday in Thailand, following the transfer drama as it happened.

“The deadline was 11pm British time, which was 3am locally. The next evening we were out at 8pm, which is 1pm in Britain, and there were the shirts all ready in the market,” said Mike.

“Liverpool and Chelsea are the two big teams in Thailand – but this is still really quick work.”
