REGENERATION agency Liverpool Vision will receive an extra £1.25m to support entrepreneurialism and business growth.
Despite cuts in many other key areas of the council’s budget, cabinet member for employment and skills Cllr Nick Small said it was vital to promote the expansion of the economy.
He added: “Investing in creating the right environment for businesses to come to Liverpool, growing our economy and creating jobs and prosperity for people are essential.”
He added it was hoped to create up to 2,000 new jobs working with the private sector.
