Hub festival teams up with Sound City

CITY bosses have teamed up with Liverpool Sound City to attract the hottest up-and-coming bands to this year’s HUB festival.

They are promising the annual urban festival, which attracts thousands of young people to Liverpool, will be the biggest yet.

But this year, for the first time, it is also becoming a ticketed event. It will cost festival-goers £5 a day or £8 for the weekend, with 8,000 tickets for each day going on sale tomorrow.

Award-winning band Funeral For A Friend will headline on a new Liverpool Sound City Stage.

They will be joined by The Blackout, Young Guns, Mayday Parade and We Are In The Crowd during the May 21-22 festival at Otterspool Prom.

The weekend also includes BMX legend Jerry Galley, skateboard gurus Pete King, Chris Oliver and Rodney Clarke, and a gravity-defying vertical ramp.

TICKETS go on sale tomorrow at 9am. Visit www.hubfestival.co.uk
