Bromborough dad runs London Marathon for baby charity Bliss

A MERSEYSIDE dad of premature twins is set to run the London marathon for charity.

Andrew Owen, from Bromborough, is raising funds for special care baby charity Bliss.

His partner, Louisa Hill, gave birth to twin girls Imogen and Isobel at 28 weeks in December 2007.

Both girls had a tough 18 months with constant illness due to chronic lung disease, but three years on they are now doing extremely well.

Mr Owen said: “Me and Louisa recognise the importance of Bliss in helping us through the hard times with our twins and are committed to helping Bliss help other families in the future.

“We really want to give something back.” To add to the fundraising the couple and 15 friends will be walking the annual Wirral Coastal Walk on May 22.
