THE RLPO's signature performance of Tchaikovsky's Manfred symphony was greeted with a roar from the audience and thunderous applause at Paris's Theatre de Champs Élysées on Saturday.
The second date of the orchestra's seven- day European tour, the concert also featured French musician Hélène Grimaud as solo pianist on Mozart's Piano Concerto No 23.
The Phil, lead by chief conductor Vasily Petrenko, performed in Freiberg, Germany, last night before heading to Luxembourg and back to Germany for four dates.
They will repeat the tour programme in Liverpool, on Sunday.
