THE move at Liverpool John Moores to charge the maximum £9,000 a year tuition fees comes just days after the University of Liverpool confirmed its intention to do the same.
The recommendation, from its Senate, mirrors the intentions of Cambridge, Oxford and Exeter universities.
Liverpool Hope University has yet to finalise its 2012 tuition fees but has ruled out charging £9,000.
The University of Chester and Ormskirk’s Edge Hill University have yet to confirm 2012 fees.
To charge more than £6,000, universities need approval from the Government’s Office for Fair Access.
