Merseyside’s richest streets named by property website

THE most expensive places to live in the Mersey region have been published as part of a national property survey.

Britain’s Property Rich List 2011, released by Zoopla.co.uk, names Heswall as the region’s most valuable, with an average house price of £289,793.

Close behind are Warrington’s satellite villages like Grappenhall and Latchford, in the WA4 post code, with prices of £253,057.

Third on the list is Lunt and Sefton Village at £250,424, with Caldy, Formby and Hightown following in fourth, fifth and sixth places.

Mossley Hill and Allerton in south Liverpool come in seventh with average house prices of £213,571 and Crosby and surrounding areas are eighth at £203,442.

Childwall, in L16, is ninth at £183,394 followed by Ainsdale and Birkdale in Southport at £172,841.

The values are the result of a formula created by the site’s owners which takes into account information from the Government, estate agents and surveyors, such as previous sale prices, current asking prices and the size of the property relative to its neighbours.
