It’s Our World: Search for amateur photographers to capture Liverpool’s parks

WHAT is it they say about a picture painting a thousand words? Well, a new calendar is looking for amateur photographers who can capture the beauty of the city’s parks and open spaces for posterity.

From the Victorian grandeur of the major parks to smaller gardens and hidden gems, there are many superb scenes waiting to be captured on camera. The Liverpool Parks Friends Forum is inviting budding snappers to send in digital images on Wildlife In The Park, People And Parks and Parks For All Seasons.

The best images will be included in the 2012 Parks calendar.

Cllr Tim Moore, cabinet member for the environment, said: “This competition is, quite rightly, extremely popular.”
