A SUMMIT will be held in Liverpool next week to discuss how more apprenticeships can be created.
It will be attended by company bosses, university chiefs and council leaders from across Merseyside.
The Merseyside Apprenticeship Forum Event will take place at Liverpool Town Hall from 6pm-8pm on Monday.
It was organised by the city’s highways, street cleansing and refuse contractor Enterprise Liverpool, in conjunction with the city council.
Senior representatives of large employers including Merseytravel, Merseyrail, Bellway Homes, United Utilities, Johnsons Dry Cleaners, Liverpool John Lennon Airport and Peel Ports will attend.
They will be joined by council leaders from Merseyside’s five local authorities and Vice Chancellors of the city’s universities.
