It’s Our World: Oxfam campaign during Chester Giant City Parade
BARACK OBAMA, David Cameron, Angela Merkel, Silvio Berlusconi and the rest of the G8 walked the streets of Chester in giant form on Sunday as part of the Giant City Parade.
Serena Tramonti, Oxfam campaigner for the North of England, said: “The Oxfam G8 Big Heads came to Chester to say thank you to supporters and campaigners.
“They were here also to remind the real world leaders to act as giants on the global scene to protect the poorest and most vulnerable.
“The real G8 leaders have just got back from the Deauville Summit, in France, and they did not really deliver.
“With our tongue-in-cheek campaign action, we want to remind them in order to be a real giant on the global scene, they need to put the fight against hunger and global poverty at the top of their agenda.”
