Giant ship’s passengers cruise into Liverpool to visit attractions

CRUISE liner Vision Of The Seas arrived at the Pier Head yesterday.

The 79,000-tonne ship, which had travelled from Dublin, spent the day at the docks before heading up to Greenock in Scotland as part of its nine-day tour. More than 2,000 of the vessel’s passengers ventured into the city, where they enjoyed a day out shopping and visiting attractions.

Brynhild and Ennt, from Norway, said they enjoyed their bus tour of the city and said the Anglican Cathedral was “very impressive”.

Owned by Royal Caribbean International, the ship is the third of 15 huge vessels scheduled to visit Liverpool this summer, between May and September.
