POET Roger McGough is asking the public to donate old doors to create a piece of art for the new Museum of Liverpool.
Each symbolic of a personal memory, the doors will be turned into a giant book, featuring selected verses from the Liverpool Saga, a poem created by hundreds of local people for Capital of Culture year.
McGough has chosen one from the soon to be redeveloped Everyman Theatre.
To submit a door, send a photograph and no more than 100 words on why it is special to museumofliverpool@liverpoolmuseums.org.uk or Liverpool Doors Project, C/O Museum of Liverpool, Dock Traffic Office, Albert Dock, Liverpool L3 4AX by July 31. Doors cannot be returned.
