HUNDREDS of cyclists made their way from Liverpool to Chester – and some even cycled back – to raise charity cash.
Their journey started at the Queensway Tunnel entrance.
Emerging the other side, they were treated to bright sunshine for their ride into Cheshire.
Yesterday’s ride was the 18th year of the event, with monies going to Claire House Children’s Hospice.
As always, different routes were tailored to suit those of all abilities.
There was a Wirral Circular ride of 25 miles, the 30 mile Liverpool to Chester, the 54-mile Liverpool Chester Liverpool route, and a gruelling 90- mile challenge ride for serious cyclists.
Leah Sandamas, of organisers Pennine Events, said: “This year’s event has been great, and we’ve been so lucky with the weather.
“We’re working out the final total , but we’re looking forward to handing over a very large cheque to Claire House.”
