A DECISION on whether Liverpool Council will continue to provide care for people with “moderate needs” will be made in September.
The council is currently consulting on the removal of this banding, but no final decision has been taken.
A Government-commissioned review this week demanded a new nationwide test to tackle the unfairness of some town halls providing such help while others do not.
“Moderate” needs includes pensioners unable to cook, shop or wash for themselves.
