WHOEVER takes over the role of Tate Liverpool director will have big shoes to fill.
In his 10 years at the Albert Dock gallery, Christoph Grunenberg has brought a stream of major names – Klimt, Picasso and Magritte among them – to Liverpool and with them crowds of thousands wanting to view their work.
With the critical success of this summer’s Magritte exhibition and the much anticipated Alice in Wonderland show that follows it, he will finish his Tate Liverpool career on a well-deserved high note.
