SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY made a flying visit to Liverpool to take part in the annual LIPA graduation ceremony. He told the young performers: “You are all pretty brilliant to be here today.
“You put in all the hard work. But remember it’s a gift, and be grateful for that gift.”
More than 300 students from the UK and 22 countries, received either foundation certificate, degree or postgraduate programmes.
Seven luminaries of the arts were made LIPA Companions including recording artists Billy Ocean and Merseyside music broadcaster Spencer Leigh was made an Honoured Friend.
