MERSEYSIDE pupils swapped the egg and spoon for anti-doping tests during a sports day with a twist.
Liverpool John Moores University hosted 90 pupils from across Merseyside during its Scientists In Sports Day at its biochemistry laboratory in the city centre Tom Reilly Building.
The event allowed the participants the chance to try their hands at anti-doping science tests and rub shoulders with Great Britain 400m runner Andrew Steele.
