Liverpool Council restores access to Daily Post’s Dale Street Blues political blog after Joe Anderson’s intervention

He said: “There is absolutely no reason why it should be blocked.

“I think it is ridiculous and bans often have the contrary effect – they make people want to read something more.

“I know nothing about this and as far as I am concerned it is nonsense. I will be telling them to unblock it.

“It is a serious blog which engages with people, and in my view has an informative approach. That should be welcomed by the council.”

Dale Street Blues has run since 2008 and has featured guest blog posts by many of the city’s politicians.

Cllr Keaveney and deputy council leader Paul Brant have guest blogged for the site in the past.

Last year, it was listed 37th in the Total Politics Top 60 Media Blogs.
