15th novel hits the shelves for Liverpool’s literary lawyer

A LIVERPOOL lawyer is celebrating the publication of his 15th book – the fifth in the popular Lake District Mysteries’ series.

Martin Edwards, partner in the Liverpool office of law firm Weightmans, launched his latest book, The Hanging Wood, with a signing and discussion.

Martin, an employment partner at the firm, has won many accolades for his crime novels and is already planning to revisit the lives of protagonists DCI Hannah Scarlett and historian Daniel Kind in the rolling hills and valleys of the lakes.

He said: “Writing is a great passion of mine and it’s fantastic to have the opportunity to publish my work for others to read. It was a real pleasure to write The Hanging Wood and I hope that readers will enjoy it as much as I’ve enjoyed writing it.”

The UK launch was marked with a signing at Gladstone’s Library in North Wales, a location which inspired the backdrop to the story.
