THE number of million-pound businesses trading on Ebay is set to increase by a quarter this year.
The company said it expected the number to rise to 159, with growth being driven in areas including fashion, motors, home and garden, and electronics.

DROP The Dead Donkey writer Guy Jenkin is creating a TV comedy about newspaper phone hacking for Channel 4. The programme will take a “satirical swipe” at the scandal.

ALCOHOL taxes in the UK are among the highest in Europe, threatening jobs and leading to less alcohol consumed. The average price of a pint in a pub has now broken through £3 for the first time, partly due to “huge” tax increases, said the British Beer & Pub Association (BBPA).
