A LAW firm is to host a free seminar for schools wanting to find out more about converting to an academy and breaking away from local authority control.
The seminar, hosted by Brabners Chaffe Street, will build on the experience gained after the firm acted as legal adviser to the Oldershaw School in Wallasey when it recently converted to academy status.
Wirral resident and partner at Brabners, Stephen Claus, said: “There are very few avenues for up-to-date and expert information for schools considering applying for academy status.
“Our forthcoming seminar, ‘Converting to an Academy’, will give schools the chance to hear about issues that arise in the process of conversion and offer the opportunity for those present to network.”
The seminar takes place at Horton House, Liverpool, on September 20, between 9.30am and 1pm. To confirm your free place please email bcsnewsandevents@brabnerscs.com.
