LIVERPOOL will host the UK premiere of Martin Scorsese’s new documentary about Beatles legend George Harrison.
Picturehouse at FACT will screen George Harrison: Living In The Material World, on Sunday, October 2, before it goes on general release on October 4.
The Oscar-winning director traces the late Beatle’s life from his musical beginnings in Liverpool through his career as a musician, philanthropist and film-maker.
The documentary weaves together interviews with Harrison and his friends – including Sir Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and Eric Idle – with home movies, letters and photographs.
Much of the material has never been seen before and the film charts the musician’s personal life, including his attraction to women.
