MIKE McCARTNEY re-recorded one his 1960s hits at his old school to launch Mathew Street’s new “singing bin”.
The bin will congratulate punters for disposing of their rubbish.
Former Scaffold star McCartney called in at his brother Paul’s Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (Lipa) yesterday to re-record Thank You Very Much.
He attended the school in the 1950s when it was called Liverpool Institute.
The singing bin was Liverpool City Central BID’s idea as part of the Love Where You Live anti-litter drive.
