CALIFORNIA Gurl Katy Perry wowed the audience at the Echo Arena last night.
The 26-year-old pop star belted out hits including Firework and Teenage Dream on the second leg of her California Dreams Tour.
Since exploding on to the scene in 2008, she has sold out her 50-city world headlining tour, plus hosted and performed twice at the MTVs European Music Awards where she also won Best New Act in 2008.
As well as several Grammy nominations, Perry won a Brit Award in 2009 for Best International Female.
Earlier this week, she asked fans in the city to “tweet” her pictures from nights out in Liverpool to show on a huge screen as she performed her hit single, Last Friday Night.
Katy was supported by British artist Ellie Goulding, who released her debut album, Lights, last year.
