CINDERELLA’S Ugly Sisters were at the Liverpool Playhouse to launch this year’s Christmas pantomime.
Cinderella: Mop! In the Name of Love will open at the beginning of next month and double act Adam Keast and Francis Tucker have signed up as Cinders’ scheming ugly sisters.
The rock ’n’ roll panto is promised to be a great night out with music, dancing and lots of cheeky laughs.
Sarah Vezmar, who delighted past panto audiences as Ruby Tuesday and Purdy, will play Cinderella, while Kate Marlais will be casting a magic spell as Poppy Pumpkin.
Liverpool’s Chris Lindon will play Buttons, while Rebecca Bainbridge, last seen on the Liverpool stage in 2008’s Mother Goose, weaves a dastardly plot as Cinderella’s wicked step- mother, Maud Macbeth.
LIPA-trained actor Robert Gilbert will come to the rescue as the handsome Prince Charming.
Finally, Carla Freeman and Griffin Stevens join the cast for the first time, and Jonny Bower is back wielding his electric guitar to rock ’n’ roll as Hector, Danny Deeny, Tony Tofu and Tiny Tempeh.
CINDERELLA: Mop! In the Name of Love will be on at the Williamson Square theatre, from Saturday, December 3, 2011 to Saturday, January 21, 2012.
