Glittering premiere plans for new Wirral cinema

THE opening of a new cinema at the centre of a major redevelopment of a Wirral seaside resort will see a UK premiere of a Hollywood movie – and raise funds for the RNLI.

The Light cinema in the Neptune development at Marine Point in New Brighton will officially open on December 2 and is expected to be accompanied by further major steps forward at the development.

The eight screen all digital cinema – which represents a £5.5m investment at New Brighton – will join forces with the RNLI to welcome 500 guests to the first showing in the UK of ‘New Year’s Eve’, on Wednesday December 7.

Guests will be greeted by champagne-bearing lifeboat volunteers as they walk the RNLI-themed orange carpet.

There will be a limited amount of tickets available to the public, at a cost of £28 each, with proceeds going to the RNLI. Details at https://sales.webticketmanager.com/rnli
