Iconic Liverpool bar The Jacaranda Club goes into liquidation

AN ICONIC Liverpool bar best known as the venue which first hosted The Beatles has gone into liquidation.

Directors of The Jacaranda Club, in Slater Street, filed to wind up the business with Companies House after staff were allegedly told their employment was “finished”.

A source said staff were called into a meeting on October 31.

Administrator Milner Boardman and Partners were brought in to dissolve the company.

In June, the same insolvency firm was also asked to dissolve other companies owned by The Jacaranda Club Ltd directors Graham Clarke and Peter Antonio.

Mr Clarke was unavailable for comment.
