A TEENAGER appeared at crown court charged with murdering a former Liverpool football schoolboy captain.
Thomas McInerney, 21, was found lying in a pool of blood in Walton in the early hours after being stabbed.
Officers on patrol found the one-time Everton academy player, of Kirkdale, at about 3.30am on October 23 at the junction of County Road and Chepstow Street.
Sean Rogan, 18, of Chepstow Street, Walton, appeared at Liverpool Crown Court via video-link from Walton prison yesterday charged with Mr McInerney’s murder.
The Recorder of Liverpool, Judge Clement Goldstone QC fixed a plea and case management hearing for January 18. He also set a trial date for April 18.
Rogan was further remanded into custody.
