CITY law firm Weightmans finished in eighth position in this year’s Black Solicitors Network League annual survey of UK law firms.
The annual report, compiled and published by the Black Solicitors Network, looks at law firms’ efforts to address gender, ethnicity and disability by analysing the background of all associates, partners, paralegals and trainees. The firms are scored in a series of categories – the total of which secures their overall ranking.
Weightmans’ senior partner, Ian Evans, said: “I am very proud to see the firm being recognised for its policy towards diversity and to be placed among some very significant firms. We try our best to apply fairness to every aspect of running our business and do not pay lip service to equality and diversity.
“We support and applaud the Black Solicitors Network in publishing this information which can only lead to greater transparency and mobility within the legal profession.”
