BEREAVED families are invited to a special service to remember babies and children who have died.
The “Sleep In Peace” Christmas remembrance service will be held at Landican Cemetery, in Wirral, at the beginning of December.
Organisers said anyone who has lost a loved one is welcome but the service will be particularly appropriate for those who have lost an infant or a child.
Beginning in Landican’s South Chapel, the event will feature readings, poems, hymns and carols before it moves outside the Chapel to a newly-planted Christmas tree, which the staff at Landican hope will grow year after year and become the focus of similar remembrance services in the future.
The service takes place on December 4 at 2pm.
