TIGER cub triplets made their first public outing at Chester Zoo yesterday.
The Sumatran tiger cubs are three weeks old and the offspring of five-year-old mother Kirana and four- year-old father Fabi. It is thought there are only around 400 left in the wild.
Curator of mammals Tim Rowlands said: “To think they are now part of a safety net in case wild populations go extinct is pretty remarkable and quite humbling. We are thrilled, Kirana is very happy, and we are sure our visitors will be equally delighted.”
