A POSTMASTER was attacked in a gunpoint raid in Wirral.
A man brandishing a firearm burst into Martins Newsagent and post office on Upton Road, Upton, just before 10.40am yesterday.
He threatened staff and customers and assaulted the manager of the shop, leaving him with a head injury. The offender fled with a large amount of cash and escaped on the back of a motorbike or scrambler bike. At 12.30pm, three youths involved in a motorbike crash on Bidston Road, Bidston, were arrested in connection with the incident, on suspicion of robbery and the theft of a motorbike.
