No new leads in search for Wirral woman missing in Lanzarote

Margaret Holt

THE daughter-in-law of a Wirral woman missing in Lanzarote said they had no new leads to follow.

Clare Riley was speaking with members of a Facebook site that is being used to highlight the search for missing Margaret Holt from Poulton.

She also said herself and Margaret’s son, Ben, were finding the search “tough going” but conveyed their thanks to everyone who was continuing to help them.

Mrs Holt’s son Ben continued to appeal to holidaymakers and locals to get in touch if they could help find his mother at a press conference on the Canarian island yesterday morning.

Mrs Holt has now been missing for more than a week. She was last seen leaving her hotel in the resort of Costa Teguise on December 23. Many Ex-Pats and locals have given up their own time to search the island for the 65-year-old after the official search and rescue teams were stood down.

Yesterday at 11.20am Mrs Riley posted on the Facebook site: “Sorry we haven't been on last couple days. We're finding it very tough going and difficult with no new leads.”
